Έλενα Εφέογλου

Απόφοιτη του Τμήματος Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών, της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών, του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης με κατεύθυνση τη Ζωγραφική, κατέχει μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο (MFA) στη Φωτογραφία από το University οf Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts, Belgrade, Serbia, με εκπαίδευση (CERT) στη Βικτωριανή Φωτογραφία από το University of Edinburgh και στην Ιαπωνική Εικονογραφία από το Massachusetts Institute of Technology-MITx.

Τα καλλιτεχνικά της ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν οπτικοακουστικές εγκαταστάσεις, βίντεο και φωτογραφία. Έργα της έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε εκθέσεις και φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, Buenos Aires-Espacio Pla Foundation, Vienna-Austria Aufwind Festival, Πάτρα-RE-culture 4, Turkey-3rd Documentary Photography Days, Θεσσαλονίκη-REWORKS, 1η Μπιενάλε Σύγχρονης Τέχνης Θεσσαλονίκης, Τhe Netherlands-Museum Romeinse Katakomben κ.ά.

Τα ερευνητικά της ενδιαφέροντα κινούνται στον τομέα της οπτικής επικοινωνίας με ειδικό ενδιαφέρον για τους τρόπους με τους οποίους το οπτικό υλικό μορφοποιεί την ατομική και συλλογική μνήμη, το ρόλο της φωτογραφίας στη δημιουργία και τεκμηρίωση συμπεριφορών και τις αναπαραστάσεις του αστικού/φυσικού περιβάλλοντος ως χωρικές αφηγήσεις.

Είναι ΕΔΙΠ στο Τμήμα Κινηματογράφου, της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του ΑΠΘ με γνωστικό αντικείμενο τη Φωτογραφία.

Elena Efeoglou

She studied Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she holds a Μasters degree (MFA) in Photography from the University of Arts, Faculty of Applied Arts, Belgrade, Serbia. He has certified trainings in Victorian Photography from the University of Edinburgh and in Japanese Illustration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-MITx.

Her artistic interests include audiovisual installations, videos and photography. Her work has been presented in exhibitions and festivals in Greece and abroad. Her research interests are in the field of visual communication with a special interest in the ways the visual material shapes the individual and collective memory, the role photography plays in the creation and documentation of human behavior and the representations of the urban / natural environment as spatial narratives.

She is a Laboratory Teaching Staff in Photography, in the School of Film Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
