Born in 1992, in Athens, Greece. Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Visual and Applied Arts of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Currently she is a Master student for Mixed Media, in Luca School of Fine Arts in Gent, Belgium.
Her work is a mixture of different media such as sculpture, installation, photography, video art, and performance. Her main focus is the identity of the form and the information that subconsciously are within the form.
A small passage from her Master Thesis.
There are many different types of memories indeed, some of them work in completely different ways, but all of them hold the idea of the reminisce, it is as if there is a prototype and we return back to it , to compare it with the replica in front of us. So how much can we trust ourselves to cleanly absorb the reality in front of us, without experiencing this reentry process?
We have the capacity to bend reality, to cut it and stitch it up in a different way.
Art as a language inside the spectrum of memories.
This “visual” language is a collection, a mixture sometimes of memories, shapes, objects, colors, smells, ideas, dreams, fears, lines, limits, movements, accidents that keep resurfacing, manifesting and appear in the back of my eyes.
Every “word” that I built, it is a combination of already existing information but it is always new, and it seems that because it is something of many details and at the same time something that has been multiplied, reduced, combined, simplified and even amputated, it seems as if the predecessors of it are alienated regarding their originality.
