Μαρίνα Τσάκαλου – Marina Tsakalou

Γεννήθηκε το 1992 στη Ξάνθη. Αποφοίτησε το 2018 από την Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών, Τμήμα Εικαστικών και Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Σπούδασε στο Ε’ εργαστήριο ζωγραφικής με διδάσκοντες τον Γιώργο Γκολφίνο, Γιώργο Διβάρη και Λάμπρο Ψυρράκη. Πραγματοποίησε πρακτική άσκηση στην Πινακοθήκη του Δήμου Ξάνθης. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε διάφορες ομαδικές εκθέσεις και workshops.

Το εικαστικό της έργο εκδηλώνεται μέσα από κολάζ, γλυπτά και εγκαταστάσεις. Είναι βασισμένο σε σκέψεις που μετατρέπονται σε αντικείμενα τα οποία λειτουργούν ως σύμβολα. Υπάρχει η απόλυτη τάξη στο σύνολο της δημιουργίας της μορφής και χρήση γλώσσας/ιδεών ως βασικό κομμάτι των έργων που άλλοτε προκαλούν αντιπαραθέσεις.

Born in 1992, in Xanthi, Greece. Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Visual and Applied Arts of Fine Arts of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki in 2018. She studied in the painting workshop of Giorgios Golfinos, Giorgos Divaris and Lambros Psirrakis. She did her internship at the Art Gallery of the Municipality of Xanthi. Her works have been showcased in several group exhibitions and workshops.

Her artwork is manifested through collages, sculptures and installations. It is based on thoughts which are transformed into objects that function as symbols. There is an absolute order in the whole creation of the form and the use of language or ideas as a basic part of her works that sometimes cause controversy.
